Strong interest in IICT results
On 20 January 2026, our public closing event took place in Bern. We co-hosted the event together with the Swiss Alliance for Digital Inclusion (ADIS) and the Federal Bureau for the Equality of People with Disabilities (FBEB).
About 120 participants attended the event, where members of the IICT project presented the project's key ideas and solutions to make audiovisual media and digital information services more accessible, including practical showcases and live demonstrations. The programme was complemented by talks on the current state of inclusion and digital accessibility in the context of technological, political, and social developments.
The strong interest in the event and the diverse group of participants – including representatives from public administration, research, business, advocacy organisations, and target groups – highlight the social relevance of the topic. The lively participation in the closing discussion also underlined how important cooperation between different stakeholders is. We are therefore pleased that our innovation project, together with the public event organized jointly with ADIS and the FBEB, helped strengthen collaboration and exchange across institutional boundaries.
